[국외] WhoseEA 2009 Conference] "Whose East Asia? The East Asian Architecture and Urbanism under Occidentalism"
The Society of Architectural Historians of Taiwan (SAHT) is sponsoring and organizing the 2009 International Conference on East Asian Architectural Culture, to be held in Tainan, Taiwan from April 10 to13, 2009. The conference theme is "Whose East Asia? The East Asian Architecture and Urbanism under Occidentalism.
Through the theme 'Whose East Asia?' this conference will reconsider the architecture and urbanism of East Asia under Occidentalism and will seek to explore the spatial role of today's East Asia.
Scholars and practitioners from the fields of architecture, architectural history, urban studies and related disciplines will present papers related to the following four sub-themes: Appreciation and Interpretation of Traditional Architecture; Presentation and Representation of Modern Architecture; The Challenge of Cultural Heritage; and Colonial Architecture and Colonized Cities.
Scholars from relevant disciplines are invited to submit a 500-word abstract and short biography. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is extended to August 15, 2008. Submission details are available online at: http://www.saht.org.tw/WhoseEA2009/index.htm
