CASA is concerned with the integration of two apparently diverse fields, architectural history and computing. Staff within CASA have published widely in the field of architectural history, from the translation of architectural treatises by Leon Battista Alberti , Andrea Palladio and Sebastiano Serlio. Aspects of these more conventional areas of historical enquiry have been explored in a range of computer models funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Board and commercial sponsors. Recently CASA has also produced computer animations for the Sir John Soane exhibition at the Royal Academy, London (September-December 1999), the Stanley Spencer retrospective at Tate Britain (March-June 2001), and Aztecs at the Royal Academy, London (2002-03).
